As a growing company with over 100 employees, Lansons takes its responsibilities towards the community and the environment seriously. As such we have a number of initiatives which aim to make a positive impact.
Lansons actively pursues a ‘giving back strategy’. We are committed to giving 1% of our profits to charity each year, showing a clear commitment to charitable work throughout the company. Lansons actively supports a number of local charities every year, either financially or through our pro-bono activities.
Charities are proposed annually and our “chosen charity” is selected by all our staff, with other initiatives focusing on local and community initiatives. Our charities tend to be causes that are close to individual’s hearts and ones where we can to make a difference, whether to one person or a number of people, and each year includes at least one initiative for our local community.

Our “chosen charity” for 2010 / 2011 is Breast Cancer Haven, a charity which helps people through the experience of breast cancer – and the only charity that promotes integrated healthcare specifically designed to support people through their breast cancer treatment. It offers information, much-needed emotional support and complementary therapies in its welcoming centres in London, Hereford and Leeds. Our charity team will be organizing a range of fund-raising activities to support Haven, including a sky dive.
On 31 July, 6 brave Lansons staff are taking to the skies on behalf of the Breast Cancer Haven, who offer integrated healthcare to some of the 46,000 women (and men) diagnosed with breast cancer every year. To find out more - and to help cushion our fall from 13,000 ft - please click here

HighTide
Since 2008, HighTide has been involved in a unique relationship with Lansons Communications wherein both organisations explore the possibilities of collaborations between an arts organisation and a financial PR business.
HighTide operates its own office with a small personnel within the larger offices of Lansons Communications; a dynamic and diverse business with over 100 employees.
Lansons supports HighTide with full IT support for their staff, and meeting rooms for auditions, rehearsing, and script development. In return HighTide’s artists have participated in Lansons’ work with their clients, brainstorming unique and innovative creative ways to approach business issues, offered free tickets to their theatre production Stovepipe and the annual HighTide Festival in
HighTide and Lansons continue to explore the mutual benefits of their unique partnership, and projects under consideration are a HighTide performance in Lansons offices, gala events for Lansons staff and clients around future HighTide productions, and a greater range of HighTide workshops for Lansons staff.
Earlier in the year, Lansons was privileged to view an exclusive showing of ‘Stovepipe’ at the W12 shopping centre in
This is a fantastic achievement for HighTide, following on from its recent nomination for 2009’s Best Off-West End Production by Whatsonstage.com.
Huge congratulations to everyone involved, and we look forward to continuing to support HighTide in the future.
Lansons and the environment
Background
Lansons Communications aims to minimise its impact on the environment, and in May 2007 we became carbon neutral. We offset through The Carbon Neutral Company projects around the world including Forestry and Technology.
For the assessment period 2008-2009, we off-set 215 tonnes of C02 through technology projects in China and India. We have implemented a number of processes in the past five years to try to actively reduce our Carbon Footprint and wherever possible we reduce before we off-set.

Staff
Environmental measures include:
Ride2Work - Lansons Communications is keen to encourage more employees to cycle to work. The Lansons Communications Ride2Work scheme was also launched in 2007; this allows employees to purchase a bike to cycle to work on at a reduced rate. Lansons runs this scheme through Evans Cycles, and cyclists are also provided with secure bike parking, showers and changing facilities and clean towels.
When Lansons has a ‘clothes cupboard clear-out’ staff are encouraged to donate those clothes to Oxfam
Green Committee - Lansons has a Green Committee made up of 7 staff that volunteer to join the group. The committee is responsible for assessing Lansons impact on the environment and looking at ways of reducing our Carbon footprint.
